Advice on looking at a FS career

Hey everyone, apologies if this has been covered before, I'm 36, just divorced, ADHD diagnosed, currently short-sighted, based in east-anglia and unhappy/lost in my current job/careers.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on physical/mental requirements to become a fireman fighter.

Would I need to get laser eye treatment so I don't need glasses? What kind of mentality is required?

Any general advice/suggestions for anyone who's prospectively looking at this career path?
