Evening gents

Not sure if there’s any vets in here but I’m getting out of the marines in a few months medically I just finished all my VA exams. Should be getting my rating in a few weeks. I started my VR&E stuff already and I just got approved today. I’m in North Carolina and met my wife here so I’m gonna do my CDL and mobile crane op training at Craven community college and it will all be covered which is like $9000. I’m between Texas and Illinois. I love Texas (local 450) been there it’s always been my dream to live there since I was 16 (21 now). But I I know Illinois (local 150) the pay is top tier. Kinda just looking for some input from y’all who have been in the game a long time and know way more than me or if there’s any veterans who have used VR&E to get certs and/or your Gi bill during your apprenticeship for the housing allowance. Kinda wrote that as a statement but just looking for any tips, guidance or experience that a young buck with my life ahead of me could use moving forward. God bless I hope y’all had a good work week🤙🏼
