Uma Thurman's poison ivy is definitely a lover and not a fighter. She said it herself. We only saw her in one fight scene and against Batgirl and she wasn't very inexperienced and she lost. Most of the time she there has bane or her plants protect her. It's one of the reasons I like this version.
