Lifepod 2 safety

So im only about 6 hours into my first playthrough and i unlocked the location of lifepod 2 and wanted to go there as usual i got into my seamoth went directly above it and 200 meters deep cuz i dont have the modules and as i was swimming i saw the ass of ghost leviathan and i got so fucking scared
