Eloise's future

Show Discussion 🌸

OK hear me out, it's not a huge point but will/could be a huge deal if they go through with it.

The show (albeit under a different showrunner) has established Eloise's past a little bit, one example being through that conversation with Daphne about when their father died and when Hyacinth was born, it is established that Eloise clearly has a fear of childbirth. Anything that a show sets up in advance for a character in terms of insecurities, fears or motivations, has to be worked through, regardless of the scenario.

I'm OK with both realities after Eloise's season and she gets her HEA if her and Phillip have a child together, as obviously Amanda and Oliver are already there and Eloise comes to love them and raise them as her own, so that can absolutely be enough. Depending on how they write it, then either epilogue or future of Eloise and Phillip (and whatever the family ends up looking like), it will be wonderful either way.

Although I only want to throw the idea out for two things:

One - I feel like there is issues surrounding Eloise's approach to family or her idea of what her future would look like if she was married and she and Phillip will need to work through it together as part of both of their development (people are worried that no matter how they do it, it will seem like tradwife propaganda but this will only be the case if they don't work through these things such as Eloise's fear of her loss of autonomy of childbirth etc).

Two - if Eloise and Phillip did have their own child together, can I please just say how adorable would it be for them to have a daughter like in the books and call her Penelope after Eloise's best friend and also sister-in-law. But also, can we please acknowledge how much of a legend that girl would become given who her parents are? Eloise would absolutely raise a daughter of her own to be the most badass, amazing girl and woman.

If they end up with Eloise having a child of her own, I just want them to write it properly and make it make sense for Eloise, otherwise I don't want it. But if it's done well, how adorable would that be for the second reason I wrote?!
