Prediction about Soldier Boy and the rest of season 5

My guess is that Homelander will kill Soldier Boy. We know that Soldier Boy and Stormfront hooked up a couple times, which could very well mean Stormfront is Homelander’s mom.

Oedipus slept with his mom and killed his dad, which would put Soldier Boy on the chopping block.

But more than allegorically, Homelander would have a few motives to kill Soldier Boy.

First is that Soldier Boy has V1 in his veins. If The Boys intercept Bombsight and get the V1 first, Homelander’s “ascendance” would be in jeopardy and he could become desperate. It’s not hard to picture Homelander killing Soldier Boy and then…idk, drinking his blood? This season has been rather tame compared to the others so who knows?

The other reason is that Homelander sees love as a weakness. It’s why he killed Madelyn Stillwell and Firecracker. Now Soldier Boy has warmed up to Homelander in episode 5. If that bond is too strong, Homelander may react similarly.

Narratively, this would also be a great set up. Homelander and the Boys would both have V1, so we could get Homelander’s ascendancy and he starts killing EVERYONE, but the Boys also have the means to stop him. Maybe they make a new virus using V1 or they give V1 to somebody to face off against Homelander.

Obviously this is pure speculation, but it’s fun :)
