Visiting friends in a suite?

I'm wondering if anyone has visited a suite without having an explicit suite ticket? Or someone who has experience with being in the suites and how much oversight there is? Some friends of ours have a suite for an upcoming game and we have regular tickets, and we were wondering if they can bring us in for a little to visit, or if there is a lot of security/oversight that would not allow that.
