I made my own skeleton
Hi there,
I just introduced tmasearcher live. It's my own attempt at a skeleton.
https://www.tmasearcher.com/live
I used an llm to go through the show notes and try to find the evergreen segments. It's far from perfect and I just got it live so I don't quite know how it will work initially.
The initial rotation which likely will change.
12 pm - Iggy Hour
3 pm - This day in TMA
9 pm - Pre October 2024 deep cuts
Outside those time slots It rotates the top approx 50 episodes that haven't aired recently, ranked by engagement (streams, likes, favorites). It should be set up so it won't repeat the same segment again for about 7 days of continuous listening. Ideally it should only play episodes from before October 2024. I think I might in the future play the 9:00 pm time slot contents more throughout the day but let's just see how this goes.
How the tagging works: I ran every episode show notes through Claude with a prompt that knows the cast and the bits - Iggy, Plowsy etc., pepper and Jeannie, dear Deidre, Mike Francesa, caller, Larry, etc. each segment got tagged with what's in it and a replay value rating (evergreen/mixed/dated).
I am sure this process could be improved and this is just the first go around. It does cost some money to go through everything so I'd like to take a look at this first run and make adjustments based on it.
What's broken/ coming: this is a beta so expect some rough edges. I'd like to add a live listener count to the UI as well as reactions using emojis. I'm also thinking about doing a live chat in the future if you're logged in.
Please give it a shot over the weekend and let me know your thoughts.
