transfer application decision date

hey everyone! i applied to uic as a transfer student, and i haven’t heard back yet. i submitted my app a week before the due date, but had some issues with a transcript that weren’t sorted until i called them a little over a week after the deadline. i’ve heard that it can take until the end of may to get a decision. is that true? i’m having trouble finding info about it online.

it wouldn’t really be a problem, except that the other schools i applied to have commitment deadlines before the end of may. uic is my first choice school. i think i’ll get in, but if i don’t all the other commitment dates will have already passed and i’ll just kind of be screwed. would calling them even do anything to speed up my decision? idk i’m kind of at a loss for what to do here
