This week's wastewater testing shows H5N1 (avian) flu detection in Florence, as well as continued RSV detection in Newport and Lincoln City

Per the CDC:

For the week ending 25 April 2026, wastewater testing reveals 11 detections of H5N1 (avian) flu nationwide:

Of these, six were in Oregon - in Wasco, Columbia, Marion, Douglas, Lincoln (Newport) and Lane (Florence) counties:
