Gay (37M) traveler on June 18 & 19th

Hey folks,

I'll be in town on June 18th and 19th. My Airbnb is downtown in Yaletown.

I am a BIG foodie. First stop will be Salmon and & Bannock once I'm off the plane. Any recommendations for sushi (thoughts on Tom Sushi or Miko?), sea food, and/or a restaurant that is NICE (non corporate...) with mid-high range priced? I'm happy to support Indigenous business for this one and only support local when it comes to eats <3

My list so far (likely wont hit all of these) is Granville Island, Stanley Park for Lions Gate Bridge, Gas Town, Wreck Beach (is it warm enough to swim in late June?), and possible Bloedel Conservator and/or Kiapalano suspension bridge... BUT, I know a lot of these are super touristy and I'm more a casual tourist that generally likes to go to places that people go to every day.

Concerning nightlife, I'm not a huge partier - but are there any nice upscale bars? I'm not a pub dude, I prefer martini lounges. I have no idea what the gay scene is like in Vancouver, but I'd love to check out someone's favourite venue or something...

I'm also totally open to meeting cool people that share similar interests as me (straight OR gay, male OR female). Trying to max out my stay, as I'll be leaving for Whistler (Panorama Ridge hike EARLY in the AM).
