Debating if i should bring my cat with me across the globe

So a little context, I got a cat when I was in my home country. I was supposed to attend college in the US, but covid happened so I did online class for 2 years. So when covid passed, I decided to attend college in person, but I didn't bring my cat with me because she is very timid, and I didn't want to put her through 20+hrs of flights. I left her with my family to take care of her while I'm finishing college with 2 years left.

Then life happened. I met my now husband and is married after 4 years. And so I've been thinking about bringing my cat here with me. But it would make her go through the flights I didn't want her to go through, and also disturbing her peace in her home of 4 years.

At the same time i feel horrible if I don't bring her over, since taht means I have abandonded her completely. I want to do what's best for my cat, but I dont know which one is the best. \

I've visited once last year, she seems to recognise me but wasn't very thrilled, which I understand. That is why I'm hesistant if bringing her over the the US is selfish of me to do.
