First ever ewwwphoria
I was at a drag wrestling show last weekend. The show is amazing, the company is very, very queer-friendly, and the crowd is generally safe. I was walking around at intermission, and a man i didn't know came up and asked for a high five. I gave it to him, and then he asked for a hug. I thought he was one of the performers, so I obliged, then walked away without giving it a second thought.
In the second half, I was in the audience, and the same guy came up to me from behind, put his hand on my shoulder as if to embrace me, and began asking questions about the show. Then he kept trying to touch my arms and shoulders, so I walked away. It took about 5 minutes for all the dots to need connected, as I am generally not femme passing, nor do I particularly try to be, and OH MY GOODNESS the emotions once I figured it out! That was the first time a guy saw me as female enough to try to violate my boundaries.
