Anyone deal with non clinician coworkers constantly trying to supercede actual clinicians/healthcare workers? Tell me your tales

I work in a small op home health and hospice agency in a supervisory role. There's an office 'manager' here whose a lazy sack of shit that more or less does nothing but is very self important about the little she does and will take any opportunity to step over actual clinicians.

She does this successfully because the owners are non confrontational and don't stop this behavior. I had enough of it today and put her in her place after she kept trying to get us to take a case we are absolutely not able to fucking do. An owner wasn't happy initially but then privately thanked me for actually telling this woman off. I feel a little bad/guilty now and I'm annoyed that I do because this person just sucks.
