since ive become ill, my GP has been treating me terribly, im not sure what to do?

23 female, non smoker. on ivabradine, few antihistamines and guanfacine. diagnoses; hyperadrenergic Pots, post-viral syndromes/ME/CFS (possible long covid). no previous health issues.

really confused here. i've been ill for a year now and in that timespan quickly worsened from being a normal human being who rarely went to the doctors, to being housebound and ill almost 24/7. I understand most doctors couldnt care less about ME/CFS (plus POTS etc) but i really dont get why my GP specifically, who ive known my whole life seems to not be helping ANY of my issues. Is this a common thing in that they get fed up of a repeat patient and make it very apparent?

for example she couldnt figure out what was wrong with me despite all my symtoms adding up (and at least 15 appointments) i had to research it and suggest the possibility which is crazy to me. I guess i just expected a doctor to at least suggest or maybe even figure out what was wrong with me, i wasnt expecting a cure or magical treatment.

anyway once i figured it out i went private as i have the means short-term, and she didnt want to refer me to anyone for my POTS despite there being pots doctors in the nhs. despite this she was shocked the private gps actually took me seriously and referred me (they were just fittingly empathetic, nothing crazy).

did all my private testing got my 'post viral syndrome' and hyperadrenergic pots diagnoses and came back to her. asked for compression socks at my appointment with her, she said no she cannot, despite being able to do it (ive spoken to plenty of people across the uk in my position who's gp had no issue) and told me to buy it privately.

i have never even thought a doctor could be unprofessional, but it feels very tit-for-tatty like ive offended her (sounds insane i know) by going private so thats that, however i dont understand why anyone would be like that, it feels like she seems to want to protect the NHS by saving every single penny humanly possible, by depriving me. i also had to argue my case for far too long to get simple high strength vitamin D, which ive never had to do at other GPs, they just prescribe it based on my reading without me asking.

i really could go on, but all in all, not even one little thing i need is being done. ive already significantly worsened because she was not able to figure out what was wrong with me and so i did not implement pacing etc. in the 8 months of continuous appointments with her, all i ever got once all my blood test came back 'great' was a reccomendation to try cetirizine, its like she cannot comprehend how severely ill i am. to be fair, she did very clearly say 'they just some things you have to deal with', but then is persistent with making clear that i should keep having entirely unproductive appointments with her.

is this a normal approach? i dont know how i am supposed to live so terribly ill for the rest of my life with no support. i've even told her i cant keep begging. sorry if this isnt the way i'm meant to post on here :)
