How long are you on your feet on an average day?

I know that this might sound like a strange question, but it is something I have been thinking about. Next year I plan to attend law school, and I am interested in becoming a public defender. However, I know that you have to be in court a lot, and I have chronic pain due to injuries/surgeries. When I stand for more than an hour or two, the pain gets pretty bad. If I can take short breaks, it's manageable. Anyway, I know that it may vary day to day, but I'm just looking for a general idea. Thank you!
