Supervisor neglected to promote me in a timely fashion

Location: Louisville, Kentucky

I work for the state, and met all requirements to go from *Position* I to *Position* II on 3/1/2026. I used Teams to send a message to my direct supervisor on 3/6/2026, asking when I would be reclassified to the new position (which does include a pay bump). I was not told a clear answer.

Fast forward to today 5/1/2026, and we've been on this topic a few times. The supervisor tells me that they are now sending my reclassification request to their supervisor, even though I met the requirements 2 months ago.

Am I entitled in any way to get retroactive compensation for the pay increase, when the request should have been made when I met the requirements?
