Please help (Podmic)

I've been trying to find this answer and can't find it anywhere. I want to do a two person podcast using the Sp404 as an audio interface. When I use the Podmics I hear this deep echo and I have no idea why. I am definitely a noob and barely know the SP at all. From what I can tell there are no effects that are active.
