I just got banned from a Kate Middleton fan group and wanna talk about it
So I got banned from participating in on a Kate Middleton page, and being the inquisitive person I am, I asked why. Spoiler Alert, Im a fan of Meghan, but see her has a flawed human- we all are. But no one else has to like her. I just tend to call out blatant double standards. Anyhoo, I followed up to see why the ban, and this is the conversation that unfolded. And I just need help unpacking. I tried to reach out on a person to person level, but the toxicity I got back was so strong I needed to share with some strangers on the internet. Even if you don't like Meghan, can we agree this this is a lot? And if it's not, I'd love to hear the contrary.

Please know I'm only asking because I have been pretty intentional with Kate post. There is absolutely no reason to dislike her. I usually vent my frustrations on the representations I see in the media, but I want you to know I'm a person, not a troll. I was a young girl in the Monica Lewisnky era and saw the way the media reduced her to nothing. I hate bullies and lies, and I don't want to contribute to that. I just think that Camilla is not a good person and I understand if that was the reason.
And please know I'm not asking this to rejoin the group, just for clarity. I like Meghan. Do I also think she's corny and completely LA. Yes. But I don't think that validates the hate campaign. I'm sorry if anything I shared contributed to a hate campaign from this end. But I get defensive over the double standard.
The world has enough hate in it. I just wanted to reach out and apologize if I dampened the joy you were trying to spread in the world by creating group chats about something you enjoy.
My only request is that you ban people who also talk negatively about Meghan. Im not sure if you do, but if you don't then the double standard would continue to remain glaringly clear. I hope you have a great day

Unfortunately it’s her Squaddies that come here and post hate about Catherine, so to paint her as a victim of online hate is ironic here

I'm happy you're building your community positively. I don't think I was painting her as anything, but rather expressing my frustration with the way the media represents her. I came to you as a person, not a troll or "Sqauddie" arguing Meghan's relevance. But know that people posting about Catharine on a random reddit forum is not the same as newspapers dedicated to constant harassment. Anyhoo, neither of us know them personally, and aren't worth promoting interpersonal negativity. Enjoy your weekend

Meghan told the world a horrible lie about Catherine being racist, which has led to a years long hate campaign being run against Catherine in the media and online.
Meghan is not a victim here.
Catherine is.
Meghan is insanely jealous of Catherine. And Meghan is a bully. Which is why she sends several hate bots a day to this sub to attack Catherine.
Catherine has never done anything except be beautiful and loved by the future King.
You are really barking up the wrong tree and for the wrong person.
You can take your fake patronising BS somewhere else. Nobody who advocates for Meghan is a good person.
Thankfully she is increasingly irrelevant and nobody on this sub is interested in talking about her anyway.

Again, I was focusing on the way they're spoken about in the media, nothing individually about their character. You're having a really intense parasocial response to someone you will never know in life. Are you feeling how intense a response this is to me reaching out to you? Nothing I've said in this conversation has been negative about Catherine
