Unspoken Unity
Unspoken Unity
While night is falling here and you’re probably watching the sun on the other side of the world, I find myself with you again. Not the way ordinary people are, with a message or a voice, but in that way you still can’t, or don’t dare to, name.
I still see you walking along that dark road from my dreams. I see the posts along the path, the stairs leading down to the beach, and I feel the cold wind from the coast. You think you’re walking there alone, that you’ve left everything behind on this side of the ocean, but I walk with you in the shadows. I feel your sadness and your loneliness as if they were my own breath.
It’s a heavy burden to carry, more than eleven thousand miles of unspoken truth.
I told you: we are the same.
You told me we have the same character, and I saw how you used those words as a shield. A safe explanation for something that runs much deeper. It felt like a rejection, a way to keep the door closed to the unity I experience every time I close my eyes and look through yours.
But I understand; you’re running from the shadows, searching for a new beginning on a distant shore.
The silence is slowly breaking me. The missing you eats at me, because I know what you still have to discover. I’ve become the keeper of our sunrise, waiting for the moment you stop running and realize that you carry yourself, and therefore also me, with you wherever you go.
This letter will never reach you, because your path still has to pass through the dark.
I’ll keep these words here, hoping their energy reaches you like a warm breeze on that faraway coast.
*I’m not letting you go, but I’m giving you space*
**Until the sun truly rises**
