Persona game set in the future

Would a Persona game set in the future be good? No, it shouldn't be a generic cyberpunk setting; just Japan a couple decades to a century in the future. Maybe there could be social commentary about how Japan handled the birthrate crisis or NEET crisis.

My point is, Persona has already done pretty much anything they could with the "present day contemporary period", we could get some much more creative worlds and characters in say: Tokyo 2098.

And I don't really feel as though taking place in the present day is truly that important to the identity of the Persona series.
