is anyone an early childhood/preschool teacher? Thinking about leaving an office job after a decade of burnout and teaching preschool.
The title basically says it but I work in another area of education where I'm in an office all day and dealing with the egos of other adults who dump their admin work on me. I have taught lower elementary but hated the standardized testing and district pressure. I had an interview at a preschool today and I think it would be a good fit with the amount of variety and general lack of staff meetings and desk work. Anyone that teaches preschool or pre-k and finds it to be a good fit?!
Of course I know there will be challenges but it just feels like the good things outweigh the bad.
