Help with building a school list plz :)

❔ Discussion

Hi everyone! I am planning to apply this cycle and I'm being really indecisive about my school list. I'm a little overwhelmed because, honestly, I just want to get into a school. I am pretty adaptable and could see myself at a lot of places. I am looking at US schools only, and will apply DO if needed, but theoretically I should be okay with MD (although I know no one is truly safe). I read the wiki, and it was very helpful, but there are still many different types of schools to consider and I'm not sure where I would be most competitive.

Here is some info about me, if anyone is bored and wants to share suggestions or resources:

- Wisconsin Resident, not ORM (White female)

- 517 MCAT

- 3.75 GPA (grades are not finalized for another week and a half but this is my estimate, could be slightly lower, could be SLIGHTLY higher but lowkey probably not)

- 2300 immunology research hours (3 posters, 2 publications but both will be in review so I'm not sure if I'll be able to include those, 1 patent)

- 1 research fellowship and 1 undergraduate research award

- 2500 hours as a CNA in the University Hospital on campus

- Volunteering: 132 in my hometown hospital, 300 with cancer support groups (student org I had leadership role in for 2.5 years), 75 at parks and rec in my hometown

- Other jobs: 1700 hours as a lifeguard/pool manager in my hometown, 500 hours waitressing/bartending, 655 lifeguarding on campus

If anyone has any ideas or any resources that were super helpful to them that they want to share, I would be so appreciative. Currently, all I have for sure are: UW--Madison, MCW, and University of Minnesota. I love big cities but I would go just about anywhere. I'm just not sure how my application looks from an objective standpoint, so I don't know which schools I should be aiming for.

Thank you to anyone who read all this or is able to help me out! Good luck to everyone building their list and applying this cycle!
