If we could go back in time and show ourselves what our playoff lineup would be at the beginning of this season, and this is what you saw, would your expectations really be that high?

Going into this season we were all excited to see how this team would play with KD. We traded for him to become our #1 guy. We also know the impact that Fred had on the offense in prior years(him and Dillon coming to the team I believe were our culture changers the year we added them and he is the #1 leader of the team). Additionally, Steven Adams injury and how crucial that double big lineup was, especially last year against the warriors. Still though the most important injury was our superstar only playing one game, and even that 1 game he was playing on one leg.

All of these injures along with some other shortcomings like the huge regression of Dorian finney smith, defensive problems from Alpi and Reed and lack of spacing were also contributors to this years disappointment.

We were all hoping for a more successful year, but it’s hard to judge what we’re really capable of without our #1 guy.

I’m proud of these two wins we got, I still love most our foundational pieces, and even though this has been my most disappointing season as a rockets fan since game 7 2018, I still have high expectations for the future, and even next years chance of competing.

We’ll get that ring soon enough 💍 🚀🥲
