Metallic smell during early pregnancy?

I am 5 weeks pregnant, still very early into it and I recently started smelling a metallic, blood or period like smell. When I wipe there's no blood or anything. I had a miscarriage before this pregnancy at around 6 weeks so my anxiety about everything that I haven't already experienced is super high. Is it normal or am I possibly losing this pregnancy and just not seeing it yet?

I do have an appointment with my OB in a couple of days but I'm just feeling anxious about this...
