tons of money offers

hello! this would be my first time buying on temu, i was trying to get a fish tank stand for my fish tank that was nice, and when you sign up for the app they bomb you with THOUSANDS of offers of free things, so i was like yeah sure why not. first i tried with the 4 free gifts, mine was in exchange of 10 dollars but i bought 6 dollars worth on accident and returned it, the offer disappeared. then i made another account (sorry) and now this one had 8 gifts, i turned down this offer but i got another one that was everything for a penny, i bought an item but it didnt give me the offer/things i wishlisted, i already canceled it as well. is this a trick where they make you buy or do i just not know how to use the app?
