kinda dumb.. but i feel really guilty
hi. i’m a musician. today i got shamed in front of my band by our director because at a gig (7 months ago 🫥) i was having trouble with a microphone and it was screeching with feedback (for context im autistic and have trouble controlling my filter) and i quietly said shit or something and the mic picked it up. in front of a bunch of little kids.
he was getting onto us for swearing but i got singled out (btw ive said shit in front of him like twice, once was because my friend scared me and the other was that incident) because of that incident. i get brought up as a bad example (he doesn’t say me by name but everyone knows it’s me) and im jsut really embarrassed by it.
the mic was not loud enough for anyone to hear me say it. it’s definitely reasonable to use me as a bad example, but now that he brought it up again today i’m really embarassed and don’t want to go back. i feel really bad but i just can’t control my filter sometimes.
def not gonna throw my friends under the bus though but we have all gotten in trouble seperately for swearing, but i was the only one that got singled out.
i’m definitely mortified and i played it off in front of my friends, but im sure my face gave me away (i turn bright red)
is this something i should feel guilty about? i really feel like I do well watching my mouth, and i never swear at people, i just swear when i get frustrated or just as a habit.
HOW DO I CONTROL MYSELF?!?! i’ve even considered swearing in Tslagi (part indeginous babbbyyy) just to be able to express myself without nobody knowing.
TLDR: swore in front of my band director now i feel guilty, how do i watch my mouth??
