idk what to even say atp. all my brain keeps repeating is "this is awful" over and over and over again. i barely knew him but he was only 21 years old and the guy who did it is 19 and the boyfriend of the victim's ex iirc.

my hometown is one of those fairly small "everyone knows everyone" towns. yeah there have been murders but . . . fuck, guys. it's awful.

i messaged my class president and asked her if we could hold some kind of class memorial for him. afaik this is the first classmate we've lost and it's in such a traumatic and horrifying way. i feel sick to my stomach. his poor baby. the rest of his family. his friends too.

a lot of my classmates (myself included) have already been posting to facebook sharing our condolences to his family.

i can't believe i hated so many of my classmates while growing up and once i reached adulthood, i started missing all of them, and now one of them is gone forever and i'll never get to know him more than a classmate. a baby is left without his father because of some stupid """accident""" according to the guy who did it.

if i wasn't dirt fucking poor i would donate to the gofundme in a heartbeat. i asked my best friend (who is also a classmate) to lmk if the funeral is open to the people he graduated with bc i will 100% go if it is.

i hope he rests in peace. i hope his family is okay.

one of the guys i graduated with got murdered two days ago. he was a father to a baby boy and had a lot of friends and was pretty chill. i just found out and i'm in complete shock.
