Connection between Arkham Asylum and Morrison’s Batman Run?

I’ve been reading Morrison’s Batman and I see obvious occult connections between Gothic and RIP, but have any of you found any thematic or narrative elements that connect A Serious House on Serious Earth to the other stories?
