Location based sensor for http requests

Hello! I have a question for all developers out there who made their own custom component: Can I create a sensor integration that periodically gets the phone location's latitude and longitude and performs a Python request to a website?

My idea is to create an integration to discover the cheapest gas station near the user based on it's location. Can I also add custom attributes for the user to pick so they can add the sensor and pick:

1. Radius - For the area to search around them
2. Gas type - To pick one of the available gas types
3. Input text 1-30 - To pick a number of days for price history
