MIGHT’VE HAD A MEMORY AS XANTHOUS HAYFIELD!

I say “might’ve” bc I make SO many AUs and headcanons of characters I like that it’s hard to tell skit/headcanon from memory, but this doesn’t feel like just one of my many headcanons. More personal than those

So I was listening to Sailor Song (a song that already reminds me of my husband, Elrik). I had a random “wow Elrik loved to dance” moment and was already excited since I haven’t ever gotten a memory as Xanthous before

I pretty much zoned out and had a more “memory-like” memory

I remember being in our palace in Hell. For context, I was the Demon King and lived there

Most of the room was made of gold and marble; 3 huge windows on each side of the room and all the light in there was open fire

The floor was marble tile and the tiles were outlined with sparkly gold (or maybe it was like checker with gold and marble, I’m not sure. Might’ve been mostly gold? Either way it was gold and marble)

The ceiling crowning was gold and had lions (both full body and just the heads) engraved in it. The walls and ceiling were mostly gold and the window sills were marble

Elrik dragged me into dancing with him despite it being night and empty besides us. I didn’t know how to dance very well, but he was smiling and it was fun. I mostly remember him twirling me and being very slightly taller than me (about an inch, if that) :)
