THE HOUSTON ROCKETS HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED FROM THE 2026 NBA PLAYOFFS

Lost in 6 to the Lakers.

No KD for most of the series and no FVV. No Luka at all and Reaves missed the first 3 games the Lakers won. So the injury affected both teams but the difference is Houston was built to survive that better. Younger, deeper, more athletic, more defenders, more bodies.

And somehow they still got walked through by JJ Redick and 41-year-old LeBron. Ime Udoka was throughly out coached by a second year coach.

LeBron was the best player on the court. Controlled the pace, picked the matchups, got LA organized, and looked like the best player in the series without needing to go full 2018 mode.

Houston had the better roster on paper. Sengun had his moments, but he never really felt like the guy taking control of the series when Houston needed it.

And the Rockets’ shooting was a mess way too often, which made all that depth look a lot less scary. Rough look.
