Super Notice of Intent
Hi guys, I have recently made my first non-concessional super contribution and after a month submitted Notice of Intent for claiming tax deduction for this year. I realised that super taxes 15% of the total earnings once I submit my notice of intent not when I put money in my super.
So according to that logic if I add money in my super in July 26 and submit Notice of Intent in June 27 the money would have been invested for 11 months and compounded on that principal but 15% would be taxed on just the principal? Isn't that kind of a loop hole of keeping money invested for longer time.
Just want to gain more knowledge of anyone of you that contribute to super.
Thanks 😊
