What do Academic Bridging Programs mean??

I got Accepted into a university but under the letter of my results, a portion under academic bridging programs say I have to take math and english (which was surprising because I swore I did great in the english subtest as it is).

Does that mean I have two additional subjects during my first year? Is it a substitute subject? Will my schedule be 3x as long than the average schedule per day or week?
