Title: My boyfriend humiliated me in front of his friends and I don’t know how to process this
I really need an outside perspective because I feel angry, disrespected, and honestly a bit shaken. So this started with a small argument. He accused me of making personal attacks and using his insecurities against him, which I genuinely didn’t do. He was a gry about a instagram comment male friend did " mom look there is a diva ". so I was literally listening to him but that was sounding double standards to me because yesterday only he got into a fight with his female best friend and didn't he even had food and he has went with her for a trip also of 2 days and 1 night . i just calmly told him if i was a jealous girlfriend i would have stopped you but he said I'm making comments on his insecurities of never eating outside alone .Before I could even properly explain, he blocked me. I tried calling him (he said he was in class), so I thought he’d call me back later but he didn’t. Not that day, not even for a week. After a week, my that comment friend sent me a screenshot showing my boyfriend texting him saying he wanted to “talk ASAP.” That triggered me because my ex used to do the exact same thing messaging guys from my following list and talking badly about me, questioning my character. It felt like history repeating itself. My friend only told him I’m his girlfriend to stop him from messaging others, not to create drama. But at that point I was already upset thinking: you have time to ask random guys about me, but not call me? Eventually my boyfriend called me, and I tried to calmly explain everything from the beginning. While I was explaining, he started laughing, and I got the feeling I was on speaker. Then suddenly a girl ( ofc his female best friend)took the phone and started verbally abusing me. She said something extremely degrading along the lines of “ slut if you didn’t like him, why were you even with him for getting intimate?” I was honestly shocked. My hands were shaking. My roommate heard everything and was disgusted. because it was a long distance relationship we have only met twice and the second time he came he practically forced me into that and after i started crying that you would leave me after this he was like no never now I feel more connected 😭( pathetic lier ) Even after that, when I tried to send him proof and explain my side, he blocked me again right at that moment. so that in front of his friends i don't look right and he would remain victim . Later he called again, but still never properly apologized. Instead, he kept praising his friends, even after they disrespected me. Now the situation is even more complicated because I had convinced my parents to consider going to the same university as him , because he has told me to come to his university. They’re now seriously planning logistics, and I feel stuck and irritated because I don’t even want anything to do with him anymore. At this point, I feel like: He didn’t trust me He involved other people unnecessarily He allowed (or didn’t stop) someone from insulting me He never took accountability I’ve already explained my side. I don’t feel like reaching out anymore. If I do end up going to that university, I’m planning to completely ignore him. But I just want to askAm I overreacting here, or is this as disrespectful as it feels?
