"Miss Sibilance, please..." Adam started, but the Naga patient was already moving.
"I told you, doctor. Call me Cassi," the Naga woman hissed softly. Before he could reply, Cassi coiled her tail around the exam table, pulling her torso flush against Adam’s chest. Her arms draped over his shoulders, her scent of swamp lilies filling his senses. "I can't wait for our next... check-up."
"H...hi, Gina," Adam stuttered, his eyes darting to the doorway.
"Am I interrupting?" Gina leaned against the wall, a grin playing on her lips.
Sensing the "prey" are not alone, Cassi slithered off the table with a disappointed sigh. She shot Gina a razor-sharp glance but spared a sultry, beckoning wave for Adam before disappearing into the hallway.
"So... did you?" Gina asked, jerking her chin toward the retreating serpent tail.
"No. But we would have a date later" Adam muttered, adjusting his glasses acting cool.
"A date? Do you really have to go the traditional route with every creature, Adam?" Gina tossed herself onto the desk.
"It's just my way." Adam reply, take out his bingo card between the stack of papers on his clipboard.
Adam’s had 3x accompanied by small, neat footnotes on anatomy calculating putted on the table with Gina's folded piece of paper dyed with red ink. Gina leaned in, her eyes widening as she notice the center - the "Merfolk" square, the ink there was different, old and lesser.
A slow, devilish smirk spread across Gina's face.
"Oh, Adam... you almost had me fooled," she whispered, her voice dripping with amusement. "You didn't plan the Merman at all, did you? There’s no strategy here. 'High-pressure oxygen exchange; internal constriction remarkable' this is after the sex isn't it?"
Adam froze, he didn't look up, but the deep crimson staining his ears gave him away
"It was a... critical equipment failure," he muttered, his voice barely audible over the bustle of the clinic.
"Equipment failure? Is that what we're calling it now?" Gina teased, crossing her arms demanding the truth
"Well he... I mean, the patient was quite combative due to the scale infectious," Adam muttered, staring at the Merfolk square.
Gina paused, her eyes lighting up. "Wait, 'He'? You mean that wasn't a mermaid? Adam, you sly dog, I almost forgot you were bi. You’ve got double the options in this world and you’re still acting like you’re taking the license test!"
"Everything began with a house call to the Merfolk’s habitat. I arrived there thinking my patient was a young merfolk because the condition often appears due to bad hygiene for a long time, but I was wrong." Knowing Gina wouldn’t let it go until she heard the whole story. Instead of arguing, he adjusted his glasses and dove straight into the account himself.
"The guy... he’s a grown man who weighed nearly half a ton, Gina. Bringing him onto dry land is basically an impossible mission even with help. I had no choice but to conduct the treatment in his grotto—a cramped, underwater, sunless crevasse that seemed too private." Adam stopped, massaging his nose under his glasses as if experiencing it again.
"The infection was bad. To make sure I was doing it right, I had to secure him manually. I was straddling his tail, using my entire weight to pin that massive, slick frame down while my hands worked the medicinal oils into his scales. The constant friction, the heat... it was a lot. But I underestimated the sheer, primal strength of a merman in pain. With one violent thrash of his fluke, he didn't just throw me off, he shattered my regulator against the reef.
The water turned into a roar of white foam, and suddenly, my lungs were screaming for air. I panicked, trying to kick toward the surface knowing I wouldn't be fast enough. But the patient, he had another idea. He quickly coiled his eel-like thick tail around my leg and then my waist, dragging me back down. He didn't want to let me go. Instead, he pulled me flush against his chest, his large hands locking behind my neck to force our mouths together.
I was not breathing right, my head was dizy then I felt it the unmistakable, rigid pulse of his arousal pressing hard against me, mirroring my own. The cold, slimy squeeze from his lower half were rubbing against my skin with every heaving breath he took, the warm feeling of his upper human body make me feel weird. Merging 'emergency resuscitation' into something... purely primal."
"Speak English, nerd!" Gina snapped, growing impatient with his clinical tone.
"We both had a boner and it was rubbing against each other!" Adam said it fast after breathing in for courage.
"He wasn't just kissing me, Gina. He was forcing the air from his secondary lungs into mine. Every time he pumped, I could feel his ribcage expanding against me. The warm feeling of his human upper body made me feel weirdly comfortable, while that cold, slick eel-tail was crushing my thighs open. He used the tip of it as a... a toy, to touch my entrance. We both came at about the same time, right there under the water."
"Oh," Gina stared, her curiosity doubled. "So that’s it?"
"Not exactly. Once we got to the surface, he was still too riled up to let me finish the medical treatment. So, I had to... negotiate... after that. I was bent over, letting him have his way from behind. He’s surprisingly gentle compare with how big his part is and slimy when I touch it. He still done it with care, foreplay and gently put it in after take care of me deeply. He quite compliant when he's being satisfied, i even told him i'm gonna leave him death if he keep resisting."
"So, how much did you charge for the... 'service'?" Gina mocked, leaning back.
"Nothing. It made me feel a bit cheap so i don't want to, but then... he put this into my pocket." Adam reached into his bag and pulled out a pearl as big as a chicken egg, its surface glowing with an iridescent sheen.
Gina whistled, her eyes widening. "He certainly appreciated your 'skills', didn't he?"
Gina: "And you were lucky enough to 'get in trouble' with a Merfolk, a Dwarf—who are everywhere here, a Satyr, and... lady Naga date? Wait a minute. This isn't luck. You’ve got them all in a line. You calculated the path of least resistance!" Gina said, sounding half-impressed and half-horrified.
Adam: "Yes, Gina. They’re all friendly enough not to kill me in the middle of business... except for 'lady Satyr' and those... overly active hooves. If I secure the date with lady Sibilance tonight, I’ll have four out of five on this column. The only one left is also the hardest: the Centaur. I have an appointment with a lady this Friday. Between my massage oils and their high demands, I’m looking at my first one-night stand... well, my first planned one-night stand. No dates, no small talk, just raw, clinical attraction. Winning this game and making it easier for you to admit being smart is a massive bonus to one's sex life."
"You cute Adam" Gina smirked as she unfolded the tucked paper. As it opened, a sweet, warm scent of the forest—a blend of wild berries, grapes, and peppermint wafted through the clinic, cutting through the sharp, sterile smell of antiseptic. Adam’s proud smile began to fade as he looked at the paper. Nine squares were marked, not with ink, but with scattered kiss marks in shades of red, blue, and purple looking less like a strategy and more like a messy record of conquest.
"While you’re busy with all the calculating, the anatomy... the nerdy stuff, I’m out there playing the real game," Gina said. "A bumpy Merman as your start? And you actually have to do research for each of them? Did any of your books mention that Merfolk are polyamorous? My weekend was a 'date' with the Queen of the Northern Pond and her wives. I should get bonus points for that, don't you think?"
As she spoke, Adam noticed three kiss marks, colored and sorted like a spectrum, slightly overflowing from a single square.
"Most of your options are just common folks around here. That Merfolk encounter was practically an act of desperation in my opinion," Gina pointed to a square with her middle finger, which bore a heavy Gem of the Forest ring.
"Now, this? Species-wise, this was the hardest."
"Did you even... an Elf? Really?" Adam stutter knowing what the ring mean. "I don’t... I’ve never even spoken to one. And you had sex with an Elf? You?"
"You seem to know the value of it," she look at the ring. "She was just a rebellious girl from a wealthy family, but still—it’s extraordinarily rare."
"S-so what, Gina? You still need to complete a line to win. And if you can do math as well as you think you can, twelve points is the maximum a person can have before hitting a Bingo. Compared to my strategy, your 'chaotic' method means you might have to work through four more targets just to catch up."
Gina’s laugh at Adam’s attempt to trash-talk her "chaos" sent a chill of intimidation down his spine.
"Big deal. You know... tonight is the Festival of Light. It gathers folks from all over the land. There will be plenty of women for me to choose from. I might even stop being picky and just tick them off a list like some nerds do," Gina countered. She leaned in, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Good luck keeping that Naga lady calm during the festival, by the way. I noticed her matte, obsidian scales-the marks of a photophobic snake. She's not going to like the lights, Adam."
As she turned to leave, a cluster of multi-colored feathers, vibrant and flamboyant peeked out from under her cloak, clinging to her clothes like trophies from a wild date. They were unmistakably Harpy feathers. Multiple Harpies.
