Just finished Beef Season 2… did anyone else find it disappointing?
I know I’m a little late to finishing Beef Season 2, but I just wrapped it up and this is my take on it…
I don’t know what happened, but it honestly felt like a completely different show and not in a good way.
Season 1 had me hooked from episode 1 all the way to the end. The tension, the pacing, the characters you couldn’t look away. Every episode actually meant something and kept building toward something bigger.
Season 2? I was struggling to stay interested. It felt slow, scattered, and like there wasn’t even a clear story driving it forward. A lot of it just felt… empty. Like things were happening, but none of it really mattered.
And that ending- what was that? They tried to make it super emotional with Josh and Lindsay, but she’s literally already married to someone else… so what are we supposed to feel there? It didn’t hit, it just felt forced and confusing.
I’ve seen people compare this season to The White Lotus, but I don’t see it at all. The White Lotus knows what it’s doing there’s sharp writing, layered characters and a clear tone. This felt like a watered-down, cheaper version trying to copy that vibe without actually pulling it off.
Really disappointing after how strong Season 1 was. Curious if anyone else felt the same or if I’m missing something.
