Y/C sat across from Nova, their fingers nervously tracing the rim of their coffee cup. The warm morning sun beaming onto them through the window felt almost suffocating as they shifted in their seats, aware of the unspoken tension hanging in the air.

“Alex texted me,” Y/C finally said, their voice steady but soft. “He wants to hang out tonight.”

Nova’s expression changed instantly, their eyes narrowing as a surge of jealousy flickered across their face. “What do you see in him?” They asked, unable to keep the edge from their tone. “You know I don’t like the way he looks at you.”
