Help with frozen discard or starter?

Hi sourdough wizards! I am semi new to sourdoughing … was on a delish kick for months then let it go bc life got in the way. Somewhere in there I froze some starter..problem is I don’t know if I froze discard or starter. I just pulled it out and would love to revive it to starter again! Does it matter which one froze ? Is it the same thing? Blah! Help I don’t know all the terminology / science well enough 😬😬
