Would a 3D globe travel tracker actually be useful, or is it just cool to look at?

How does it sound if there is something where you can:

• Pin places you've been or want to go on a 3D globe
• Build day-by-day trip itineraries and make them public or private
• Browse other people's itineraries for inspiration
• Track your travel streak and earn badges

Does this solve a real problem for us (Travellers)?
