What do I do before my appointment??

First time getting braids done, my hair became heat damaged after I cut it two weeks ago and straightened my hair for a week straight, I spent the entire past week trying to get my curls back but instead I’m just getting braids done, my hair is like a wavy pattern at the moment. I’ve washed and conditioned my hair do I blow try it straight? What do I do?
