Does RIS Not Work in Some Games?

I am playing Earth Defense Force 5 and it is a propriety engine. Meaning stuff like msaa doesn't work even though it looks like a ps2 game you would think it would. Is there any way I can get it working via external things like resshade or if it does not work in gpu drier it won't work with reshade?
