SL3 assisted living facilities in Lethbridge?
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to find a good supportive living (SL3) / assisted living facility in Lethbridge for my mom. I’m out of town, so it’s been really hard to get a clear picture beyond Google reviews, which are pretty limited and mixed.
From what I understand, there don’t seem to be many SL3 options in Lethbridge. The main ones we’ve come across are:
- Green Acres Foundation - Golden Acres Lodge
- St. Therese Villa
- AgeCare Columbia
(We were told she is SL3 specifically, so we can’t place her in a different level unless the facility includes that level of care.)
If anyone has personal experience—either yourself or with a loved one—I would really appreciate any insight.
Some things I’m especially wondering about:
- How was the care from the staff?
- How were the rooms (size, comfort, usability)?
- How was the food / meals?
- Did residents actually use and enjoy the common areas?
- Was it easy to make friends / feel part of a community?
Also, any general impressions—good or bad—would be really helpful.
Thank you so much in advance. This is a big decision and it’s hard to navigate from a distance.
