Idk if this count as needing Dating advice

So I just met this girl right, and she said she just moved out here cause she's a cook and her job switched her to out here. She said she would love for me to try her cooking right. So I'm thinking on something we can do to get to know eachother and stuff right a little date or something, at first I was thinking we could go to a movie or something but I felt like it's too basic and I thought ok if I go buy some food and stuff she could cook it and we could just put something on or something, and I mean I would've helped of course. But anyways I ask her like how does it sound if I go grab whatever we need to make something and she says sure if I pay her, and I'm taking aback by this. She says she only cooks for her bestie cause she knows her and she doesn't know me like that, but to me that was the whole point in this in the first place, like it was to do just that but now I feel like it got turned into a transaction or something. And I don't exactly how to feel about this cause this is the first time something like this had ever happened.
