First child at 38, second child?

I am 38 years old and 24 weeks pregnant with my first child after years of doubt after serious illness of my husband. Before that we wanted children. Now i feel like i really want a second child but are sad because of my age.

I would love some positive stories about getting your first child at 38 and still get a second child after that.
