Passed AT/AT/AT🎉 - My Honest Take (May 1st 2026)

Celebration/Thank you 🎉

Well guys, I made it to the other side! After 2.5 months of study prep and reading this subreddit, I’m proud to report that I passed my exam today above target in all domains. This thread helped ease my anxiety and gave me motivation to keep going so I hope mine does the same for those preparing to take theirs.

How I prepped:

- AR’s course
- Study Hall Plus (All practice questions, mini-quizzes and only did the first 3 full-length mock exams)
- AR’s YouTube videos (200 ultra hard, Mindset, Drag+Drop, PMP Terms to Know)
- DM’s videos (only did 50 of the 200 agile, 50 of the 150 PMBOK, a few of his ‘must know tools’)
- MR’s videos (18 mindset principles is key!!!, 5 deadly mistakes, 6 ways to cheat, and solve 95% of PMP questions with 3 steps)
- PMBOK 7th edition (did not read but I searched terms that I found in the SH explanations that I couldn’t find in AR’s book)

What truly helped:

-Mindset is key. Seriously, if you focus on that alone you can pass. Watch MR and AR’s videos.
- Time management doing the SH full mock exams (#1 76%, #2 67, #3 68) to build exam stamina. I ran out of time on my second mock and had to guess on 25 questions. So my strategy was using the mini-exams to practice timing myself to answer under 16 minutes. Pick the best answer and keep it moving. Flag and review if you have time - I didn’t. 2 minutes left to spare to the real exam but I answered every question thoroughly!
-The StudyHall questions were egregiously harder than the real exam (in my full opinion) which I think helped in the long run with over preparation
- Reviewing all wrong answers, understanding why/related mindset principles

My exam experience:

I took it online at home and it was surprisingly easy for me? I felt like I struggled more during the SH mocks. I may have gotten lucky with my bank of questions because I genuinely was prepared for it to be brutal like all the posts I read. I can’t tell if it’s because I was so used to how complicated/wordy the SH questions were that the real exam had very short/straight to the point type questions and the answer seemed obvious compared to others. Although, I did drill the mindset principles into my head the days leading up so that could be a factor. If I had to compare it to SH, I felt like my exam was largely easy/moderate sprinkled with few difficult/expert questions here and there. I was more tripped up with the amount of trivial graphs/drag and drop questions I got. I am grateful either way.

What I was not expecting/prepared for:

- 6-7 drag and drop questions with very random terms from PMBOK
- 3-4 graph questions
- Zero calculations (Disappointing because I was so ready for these and would have preferred this over the D&D/graphs I got)
- Only 4-5 multiple choice (1 being 3 choice)
- Like MR said, it truly was 80% scenario mindset and 20% conceptual

All in all, I averaged low 70’s across the board on SH and probably could have scheduled the exam a few weeks ago had I not let my testing anxiety get the best of me. If you’re debating on scheduling, just do it and get it over with. Trust your prep. You’re more ready than you think. If you lean in on mindset principles, I genuinely believe you will pass. Best of luck to all of you!!!
