XC90 PHEV questions

We currently own a 2024 xc90 and are looking to purchase another one. I'm very interested in the XC90 plug in but my wife hates the fake ignition sound that EVs make... the kind that makes you feel like you're either a) being abducted by an alien or b) you actually got hit by the EV behind you and are arriving at the pearly gates. Does the plug in make a similar fake electronic transmission noise when driving on electric? Also, one of my biggest gripes with the xc90 is the inability to turn off auto start/stop which completely shuts off the ac at every red light. The ac in general just kind of sucks. Does the plug in have auto start/stop when using electric battery instead of ICE? Thanks in advance.
