Regret my implant - Sydney surgeon recommendations?
Hey everyone,
Not sure if this is more of a rant or asking for advice… just feeling a bit stuck and hoping to hear from people who’ve been through something similar.
I got Motiva implants about 6 months ago (320cc, dual plane).
Originally I actually wanted fat transfer, but I was worried about how unpredictable it could be, so I went with implants instead.
Looking back now… I really wish I didn’t.
The worst part is I already had a bad feeling the day before surgery. Like a proper “this might be a mistake” feeling. But I had already signed everything and paid, so I just went ahead thinking I was overthinking it.
Turns out I wasn’t.
Since surgery, they’ve just never felt right.
They feel quite firm, not very natural, and I’m constantly aware that something is in there. It’s not even just how they look – it’s more the feeling that bothers me.
Recovery has also been a lot harder than I expected. I’ve had ongoing discomfort pretty much since the surgery — sometimes chest pain, sometimes back pain, and it kind of comes and goes. It’s not unbearable, but it’s persistent and just makes me feel uncomfortable in my own body.
On top of that, the whole experience has actually caused me quite a bit of anxiety. The constant awareness, the discomfort, and just feeling like something isn’t right has been really draining.
I kept telling myself to wait it out, that maybe they’ll soften and I’ll get used to it… but now it’s been over 6 months and I still feel the same.
At this point I’m seriously thinking about getting them removed.
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone :
• Has anyone had implant removal after dual plane? How was your experience?
• Did your surgeon do muscle repair after removal? Did it make a difference?
• Did you remove the capsule as well, or just the implants?
• If you’ve done this in Sydney Australia– any surgeon recommendations?
• What was the rough cost?
I’m open to fat transfer at some point, but it’s not a must for me right now – main priority is just removing them properly and not ending up worse.
Also wondering – has anyone here removed their implants within the first year?
Would really love to hear how quickly you made that decision and what your experience was like.
Thanks so much if you read this far 🙏
