Procedural audio generation with Godot, is it possible?
Hello all,. I'm looking to use procedural algorithms such as noise to generate audio for a game idea I have. I have genuinely no clue if this is possible or if it's even the right choice so do correct me if I'm wrong. But I'm looking to be able to create noise using algorithms, since my game is a "Telescope" game (Think Voices of the void where you sit in a big radar dish and analyse data to find planets, stars, systems, etc) it needs to be able to generate different sounds of different types. And even then it also needs to display these sounds as images (perhaps a shader mapping out pixels?)
I'm just wondering if Godot has the capabilities for this, or if it's even a good idea, Maybe it's easier, quicker and less resource intensive to just use pre-made sounds instead. Perhaps using C# instead of GDScript to make the code more efficient?
Simply interested in hearing thoughts on this! And getting some pointers on what exactly to research.
