media ripping question

hi sorry if this is a stupid question

i recently bought a laptop bc it had a disc drive and it runs windows 7 and i was using windows media player to rip my cd collection so i can get my music on my hiby digital audio player

does anyone know if its still possible to get album info through wmp on windows 7?

im also having a hard time using the internet on it wifi connects fine but internet explorer is useless and let me on to google for 1 second and then just decided nah
